Make Own Control Panel

It will be fun if you can create your own Control Panel which contains the tools that you use often. Although the option is not included in Windows Vista, there are ways to create your own Control Panel.

FOR FOLDER
To create a "Control Panel" itself, we first create a folder. Right-click Start button and then select Explore. When the Start Menu folder appears, double-click the Programs folder. Programs appear then the folder, click the organize menu in the toolbar of Windows Explorer and then select New Folder. Next, name the folder My Control Panel or anything you like.

CHANGE ICON FOLDER
Now, right-click the folder My Control Panel, and then select Properties. Select the Customize tab, and klik tombol Change Icon Folder icons on the panel. When the Change Icon box dialog appear, select the icon to differentiate the folder from all other folders on the Start menu.

DRAG FOLDER TO START MENU
Now, drag the folder My Control Panel folder from the Programs and navigate to the Start button. When the Start menu open, drag the My Control Panel folder and drop to the top of the Start menu. Up to here, you can enter the tools to "Control Panel".

INSERT TOOL (1)
To enter the tools to "Control Panel", open the folder My Control Panel from the Start menu. Next, open the original Control Panel and select Classic View. Now, drag and drop tools that you use most often from the original Control Panel to the folder My Control Panel. Usually make a shortcut with the drag-and-drop are sufficient. But as you know, that there are many tools in other tools. For example, to go to Display Settings, you must first open the Personalization.

INSERT TOOL (2)
Fortunately some shortcut command line tools still exist in the old Windows Vista and you can use it. Tools Control Panel of Windows Vista can be found in the folder Windows \ System32 (in the CPL file). You can run it using the format command: control tool.cpl in which the tool is a tool Control Panel.

RENAME SHORTCUT
When dragging tools, Windows Vista will create a shortcut to these tools. Windows Vista will add the "- Shortcut" to each name tools. Of course, you can remove and replace additional names as desired. When completed, close the folder My Control Panel and Control Panel of the original. Now when you want to run the tools often used, simply click the Start button and select the My Control Panel icon.
